The next round of Premier League fixtures are quickly approaching, with all 20 clubs in action over the next few days. Liverpool‘s game against crisis club Tottenham is the pick of the bunch, while Manchester United will host Aston Villa in a battle between two clubs vying for Champions League qualification. Many teams are fielding injury concerns ahead of their matches, though, leaving FPL managers with some important decisions to make ahead of Saturday’s deadline at 1.30pm (UK time).
Express Sport provides a helping hand with the latest updates on some of the most popular players…
Daniel Munoz
Munoz didn’t play for Crystal Palace in the midweek draw with Larnaca, having suffered a shoulder injury against Tottenham last weekend.
Oliver Glasner explained the 29-year-old was “working hard with our medical staff to be ready for the Leeds game” on Sunday afternoon.
It remains to be seen if Munoz will be ready to return, with a late fitness test likely to determine his availability for the fixture.
Harry Wilson
Wilson is also hoping to return from injury this weekend, with the Welshman being forced off with an ankle problem during Fulham’s recent victory over Tottenham.
He also missed the defeat to West Ham and the FA Cup loss to Southampton last weekend, but is confident that he will be able to play against Nottingham Forest.
Speaking to BBC Sport, Wilson said: “I’m good. I had a bit of a knock after the Spurs game, which took a week or so to go, but I’m back training now, so I’m hoping I’ll be good to go for Sunday and definitely good to go for the Wales games.”
Nordi Mukiele
One player who definitely won’t be in action this weekend is Mukiele, who has been ruled out of Sunderland’s upcoming clash with Brighton.
Speaking earlier this week, manager Regis Le Bris confirmed the game would come “too soon” for the 28-year-old defender.
However, there is a chance that Mukiele could return to the Sunderland squad for the Tyne-Wear derby against Newcastle next weekend.

Summerville will also miss this weekend’s Premier League action, having suffered a calf injury in West Ham’s win over Brentford in the FA Cup.
Nuno Espirito Santo said: “We have Summerville that is out. We will assess him day-by-day and see how he goes, but he’s not going to be available for the game [against Manchester City this weekend].
“It is a calf issue. We will assess him day-by-day and see how he goes, keep improving. We’re going to miss him, as he’s been an important player for us, but he will miss this game for sure.”
Alisson Becker
Alisson is a doubt to face Tottenham this weekend, with Liverpool boss Arne Slot giving a concerning update in Friday’s press conference.
“He felt something when he passed the ball in one of his muscles but after we checked it, it was minor,” said the Reds manager.
“So it didn’t take long, but games follow up so fast he had to miss Galatasaray, but hopefully he is ready to play Sunday. If not, then definitely [the second leg against] Galatasaray on Wednesday.”
