I’ll take the second purely on the basis that he’s not ‘prem proven’.

  2. Dominic Solanke is the most Eddie Howe signing of all time and I’m not using that as a compliment.

So a striker with only 3 league goals

A striker with only 4 league goals

And a striker who has the same amount of goals as he does red cards and injuries this season

Singing big 6 casts off for for top dollar is a million miles away from the pragmatic and/or wily signings we made when the take over first happened.

Funny enough, I believe that if any of the 3 were in the squad right now – we’re in a better position.

  6. Well it’s a good thing we have a proper hierarchy now, Eddie can’t be given free reign again on transfers.

Anyone wearing gloves with a T-shirt is not going to enjoy the North East.

    Fuck sake no.

This has got to be that Daily Mail tossa just trying to wind us up.

Put Bruno G on 300k a week, then go get Osimhen from Galatasaray. That’s ambition.

  10. This isn’t the Newcastle way. This is our first 3 choices. Who’s our 8 or 9th choice?

    Solanke no.
Delap if they’ll sell him for what they paid. There’s a player in there. Don’t think he’ll ever be prolific but he gets himself about and has a presence that I like.

I do really like what I’ve seen of Esposito when I’ve seen him play for inter too.

As a Spurs fan who has a soft spot for Newcastle after growing up in the era of Alan Shearer, please do not take Solanke.

Not afraid of losing him. But simply because he’s injured most of the time and won’t be of much help to you.

  13. Solanke- no

Delap – if he’s as cheap as last year would’ve been, otherwise there’s no point paying an inflated price for him now given how his season has gone

How about scouting someone who can actually dribble, with good first touch against low blocks, someone like Hall, but in attack…..it’s gonna be a loooong summer

Thing is, Howe can be a bit Machiavellian in giving pre match info in his pressers and when it comes to leaking info, if he has any dealings with it, I’m sure it’s the same.

I think one or two might be genuine, another thrown in to keep clubs off guard a bit.

In any case, any of these guys would improve our squad.

Delap is in the mould of Big Dunc and Big Malc, built like a brick shithouse, holds the ball up brilliantly.
