Crystal Palace are seriously interested in hiring Bournemouth boss Andoni Iraola as they look to replace Oliver Glasner, according to iNews journalist Mark Douglas.
The Selhurst Park side are believed to be showing the strongest interest in the Spanish manager, whose contract with Bournemouth expires at the end of the season.
Iraola is also admired by the likes of Tottenham and Manchester United, but Palace appear to pose the biggest threat to Bournemouth’s plans of retaining the 43-year-old.
Clubs in Italy and Spain are also keeping close tabs on Iraola, who has been with the Cherries since the start of the 2023-24 season.
Crystal Palace Eyeing Andoni Iraola

According to Douglas, Bournemouth will reopen talks with Iraola over a new contract during this month’s international break.
The Vitality Stadium side are looking to ward off potential interest from Premier League clubs amid another impressive campaign under the Spanish tactician.
Despite seeing the likes of Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez and Illia Zabarnyi depart before the season, Bournemouth have managed to remain competitive, sitting ninth in the league with nine games left.
The Cherries have only lost one Premier League game this year, a 3-2 home defeat to Arsenal in January, and are unbeaten in their last nine top-flight matches.
Glasner Set for Selhurst Park Exit

Palace have been on the lookout for a new manager for several months, with Glasner’s end-of-season departure already confirmed.
The Austrian is set to leave Selhurst Park when his contract expires in June, after a two-and-a-half-year spell in which the club lifted the FA Cup and Community Shield.
Glasner was offered a new deal last summer but informed chairman Steve Parish in October that he would not sign a new contract.
Palace have struggled domestically this season, winning just three league games since the start of January.
Andoni Iraola Tactics Explained

Amid Palace’s interest in Iraola, we asked ChatGPT to explain the 43-year-old’s tactical system that has earned him recognition from Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp as ‘one of the best managers in world football’:
High-pressing approach: Iraola favours an aggressive, organised pressing game where his teams look to win the ball high up the pitch. This forces opponents into mistakes and allows his side to transition quickly.
Flexible formation: While he often uses a 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 base, Iraola adapts formations depending on the opponent. Full-backs push high to provide width, while midfielders rotate to create overloads in key areas.
Building from the back: His teams are comfortable in possession, often initiating attacks from the goalkeeper and defenders. Centre-backs are expected to be confident on the ball and able to progress play.
