Everton fans have been debating among themselves over Myles Lewis-Skelly amid suggestions he could depart Arsenal this summer.

Lewis-Skelly is one of Arsenal’s best up and coming young players but he has taken a slight dip in recent months in terms of his spot in the squad and first XI.

Now, with Lewis-Skelly potentially available for just £20m, Everton fans have suggested he could be their man.

Should Arsenal considering SELLING Riccardo Calafiori already due to his injuries?

It seems crazy that Arsenal would consider selling Lewis-Skelly but we’ve seen weirder things happen, especially with the current financial rules and home grown players.

For Everton, signing a player who was England’s left-back just a short time ago and remains a key Arsenal squad member, it surely makes sense.

Over on X, Everton fans debated the issue and it seems that, as expected, many Toffees want the Arsenal man.

“Definitely. Save him and his career. Arteta doesn’t fancy non-rugby players. Lewis-Skelly is a mini version of James [Reece] and £20m is peanuts.”

“He has five years left on his contract. I suspect he’ll go out on loan but £20m is a crazy low price.”

With Lewis-Skelly obviously under contract at Arsenal, that £20m figure does seem absurdly low. Still, Everton fans hyped it up, with another adding:

“Loan with option to buy for £20-25m. We need Moyes to see if he’s good enough.”

Of course, with Everton fans jumping in here, Arsenal fans weren’t willing to sit quiet. Indeed, the price was a big talking point for Gunners fans.

“£20m? That might get you his right leg!” one Arsenal fan quipped, while another followed suit.

“£20m? Good joke. You paid £30m for Beto!”

The disbelief from Arsenal fans continued as well.

“£20m for a proven Premier League left-back? LMFAO! Pay up fools. £80m at minimum!”

It seems, then, that Arsenal fans have just laughed this one off and in fairness, the idea we might sell Lewis-Skelly for just £20m is obscene.

Sure, if a huge bid over the £40-50m mark comes in, then Arsenal might consider things, especially if it helps out financially.

But right now, he’s going nowhere and in fact, it would be no surprise to see him starting next season as the club’s main left-back.
