Mikel Arteta praises 16-year-old Max Dowman for playing a starring role in Arsenal’s 2-1 FA Cup win against Mansfield. The Spaniard also gave an update on the fitness of Leandro Trossard and Riccardo Calafiori.

-TIMESTAMPS-
00:00 – Intro.
00:06 – Great occasion. This exemplifies the FA Cup. Because of the pitch they also have to adapt, the fans upped the intensity. You have to earn it. We had chances to make it two or three.

00:58 – Dowman: Very proud of him and Salmon. Two 16-year-olds in the FA Cup. But Max was exceptional.

01:29 – What did you say to them?: Congratulations. I think Max is the youngest player ever in the FA Cup, it tells you how difficult it is. Continue to work and plenty more to come.

02:03 – Words to Salmon: I could sense he was responsible (for the mistake), it is good but don’t lose perspective, everyone has made an error. Important thing is what he’s done on the pitch.

02:33 – Three at the back: Because of the players we have available. To manage the load in the team. Not ideal, it was a challenge.

02:56 – Train it once?: Yes. For ten minutes.

03:13 – Dowman: When the ball is bouncing and people in your back, the touches he takes is incredible especially at the speed he takes it. Shows the talent we have.

03:38 – Injuries: Both had lil niggles and couldn’t continue. We knew it was a possibility.

03:55 – Missing key players: They’ve had issues. The manner we’re playing, and it was the only time we could clean those issues.

04:34 – Licence to play football?: It was the same.

04:45 – Corners: It’s exactly the same.

  1. Arsenal have won more games across all competitions in 2025/26 than any other season under Mikel Arteta:

    ◉ 2025/26: 35
    ◎ 2023/24: 34
    ◎ 2024/25: 32
    ◎ 2022/23: 32

The Quadruple dream remains on. 🏆🏆🏆🏆

  2. Downman is such a talent. Shame he didn't get the finish boots going, but that will come. Amazingly mature and fearless play, that some of the senior attackers could show.

Last question was giving social media troll influence.

  3. Its crazy how much quality English football has. Championship and League 1 sides giving hard time to one of the best Clubs in world football. Much love and respect to Mansfield! Match was a blast to watch!

  4. Hincaipe is really looking like a class player. If Ricky is out we are going to need him every single game. He is such a warrior. Norgaard well done he can play at 6, CB and RB and is so composed. Two absolutely incredible finishes, Eze finishes like that all the time for Arsenal that first touch is just genius; becoming a signature finish.

Just get over the line lads! COYG – Well done Mikel!

  5. Arsenal have scored 101 goals this season with 19 scorers, 20 if you include Éoghan Góels. A third of those goals have come from set pieces. I’d like to ask the smooth brain final journo how he thinks the other 2/3 were scored.

  6. Tranquillo tanto ve lo fanno vincere il campionato… dopo lo scandalo successo
    City – Nottingham c'erano 2 rigori clamorosi non dati al City… 🤷‍♂️

  7. honestly felt like gyokeres should have came on for jesus, he would have killed this game. the counters we had and the spaces we had he would have thrived. jesus was really poor today, i didnt even know he was in the game till he took a shot. also hope salmon doesnt let that mistake get to him, he was really good today and has a bright future ahead of him. COYG!!!!

  8. Hat's off to Mansfield. They really put us under the kosh. Respect to each and everyone from that club, especially the son of the legendary Brian Clough.

  9. Its time for Arsenal to be ruthless. If people cant stay fit and are constantly getting injured, then thank you and bye bye come the summer.

  10. I hate you Arteta. You are carrying two useless Brazilians for the past 4 seasons. Damn it. I don't take Martinelli as a proffessional player. Be it Artetas tactic or something else he is a bad player. I don't want to see him forever.

  11. this game should’ve shown arteta and berta the players who aren’t good enough (some haven’t been for 3 seasons now) and the ones who are never available and can’t be relied upon. lots of summer sales needed – the gap in quality from our first team is alarming. kepa, dowman, salmon, eze, hincapie and dixon were the only ones who played well today.

  12. Thats good news with Calafiori injured and also Trossard, they are crap anyway. Tired of the excuses and bs this manager comes out with…you better win the league at a bare minimum.

  13. Gabriel Jesus – let's keep faith with him. During the hard times, I send my support. Hope he keeps fighting to get back to his best, because Arsenal need him.

  14. We at the Arsenal have a “one in, one out” policy. One player recovers from an injury, one player goes out to an injury.

    It is ridiculous 😂😂

    COYG keep going! Onto Leverkusen

  15. Can anyone tell me why we started with 2 rw’a n 2 lw’s?? And also we dnt risk starting kai in the prem but we put him in central midfield when we all know hes a cam or striker ?? Was this artetas so called clever way to play attacking football ?? It was like a kid threw that team together on fifa 😮 settle dwn mikel lad coz we do anything as clueless as that v a city or pool we will get embarassed🎉 we should of went their without alot more plyers aswell like saka especially for god sake man dnt blow it all now wid pissing about wid kai at CM that cost us v villa 2 year ago at home n we lost out on the title

  16. The last reporter was throwing a jibe at Arteta based on what Hurzeler said. Watch how Arteta kept his eyes locked at him after the question like "is that all".😂😂
