The bar, which is located off Old Christchurch Road, has recently been taken on by James Gordon from Harry’s Group.
What was a former Slug & Lettuce site, is now being transformed into BOMO House and it’s set to open its doors to the public on Friday March 6.

James, and his wife Layla, said that they’ll be introducing live music and DJ events, with the first one taking place at their soft-launch opening on Friday.
They have aims to make it a strong music scene, set to work with promoters and host special live music events.
After only getting the keys on March 4, the pair added that all the floors are being redone and the site will be decorated in green and black, the brand’s colours.
James said: “The whole place is getting a freshen up, it’s exciting, it’s really exciting.
“It’s all about the atmosphere.”

With the motto ‘our house, your secret’, BOMO House is focusing on creating an atmosphere filled with good music, good people and good vibes.
With a key focus on safety in the area, the business is offering an outside space within the premises where people are able to wait for taxis, or be alongside security staff if they need somewhere safe to stop.
James said: “I want to make it safe in the area. I want to make it a safe space to go.”
Layla added that they’re ‘honoured’ to have the support of Mark Metcalfe, who will be helping as a consultant with security and helping to make the site a safe space.
Also keen to provide a space for students and utilise the first floor, James said that a section will be a designated study area, potentially looking to install a coffee station that will be free for those studying.
As well as the study space, they’re looking to introduce a gaming area which could see things such as a pool table and electronic darts.
BOMO House is set to open to the public at around 6pm on March 6, with DJ sets starting from 9pm.
James has also acquired two sites further along Old Christchurch Road and more will be revealed about them in the coming month.
