So much noise online, and so many so called experts.
"A small club disguised as a big club"
"No ambition"
"Poor management"
"Spurs being Spurs"
You name it.
Yet virtually nobody mentions the fact that they're missing 10 (!!!) first team players, 9 of them due to injuries? Seriously, how? Not even as a "by the way…"
Let me put it here since I'm assuming half the people here genuinely don't know how to look this up:
* Bentancur R. (Muscle Injury)
* Bergvall L. (Ankle Injury)
* Davies B. (Ankle Injury)
* Kudus M. (Muscle Injury)
* Kulusevski D. (Knee Injury)
* Maddison J. (Knee Injury)
* Odobert W. (Knee Injury)
* Romero C. (Red Card)
* Spence D. (Calf Injury)
* Udogie D. (Muscle Injury)
10 missing first team players, let that sink in.
Add a goalkeeper and you basically have a starting lineup. Yet you read match threads and people are saying that the current team looks soulless and has no passion. GEE, YA THINK? You think a 19 year old defender that has only played in Brazil doesn't have what it takes to be playing for a club that's expected to finish in the top 6 in the Premier League? Top level analysis there.
You can do all the mental gymnastics you want, especially since it's so easy to have opinions in hindsight; but you have to be truly delusional to not admit that they've been unlucky.
Having injured players leads to overworking existing players, which leads to fatigue, which leads to more injuries. There might have been some mismanagement, but it's certainly not just that. It's a vicious cycle that's virtually impossible to actually manage.
But sure, keep blaming the lack of passion or whatever else is obviously the reason that everyone's missing but you somehow figured out.

Nobody mentions it?
Their injury crisis has been talked about for 2 years now.
They’ll be back when they get promotion next year.
Cry me a river real Madrid is having more issues injury wise for 2 years and are in crisis for being second I’m the league and playing finals etc
Bro, can we please just have some fun laughing at their misery for like 5 minutes?
“Big club” 1 point above relegation but it’s fine because they have injuries
Spurs are fucking shite. Delusions of grandeur.
So you’re saying immediate promotion back into the PL? Possible
Why have they got so many injuries? WTH is going on at Tottenham?
Trying to get people to emphasise with Tottenham is crazy work
Cant you just go down with some dignity
True. It’s not like they finished 17th last season or anything.
Every team has every player injured always. Always. Everyone has a complaint with that at some point in the season
Even with all them players back they’d still be shite
Fk Spurs. Let’s s just crown another team to be part of the big six. Villa? Newcastle? Brentford? Anyone?
Hahahahahhahahahahahahaha r/championship is here pal.
Back to Championship?
Shit recruitment for years and an over reliance on Kane coming home to roost more like
Real Madrid is missing more players and nobody cries about that when they loose
True they have an injury crisis, and I don’t think anyone is denying that they’ve been unlucky. Having said that though, why are there so many injuries? That’s not normal and while some of them are down to luck, some of them are probably also down to S&C and physio being implemented wrong. They have a lot of games this season which doesn’t help that
Thank god there are some sensible scousers still alive
You are not wrong. But this just proves why squad depth is critical.
And it’s not lit spurs haven’t spent any money in the transfer market. Combining 2024/25 and 2025/26, the club has spent between £350m-£400m+ in combined transfer fees to strengthen the squad. And they have sold or released numerous players in that time, including several starters that could have helped them now.
Say what you want about injuries, but even with a fully fit squad we’re not finishing above 12th. Our club is rotten.
Arsenal had 11 first team players out for 3 months last year; Bukayo Saka, Martin Ødegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, Riccardo Calafiori, Gabriel Magalhães, Jurrien Timber, Mikel Merino, and Oleksandr Zinchenko.
Edit to clarify, december 2024 through to late feb 25.
A “big 6” club needs a contingency plan. You put so much effort into a pointless team.
