Why Liverpool’s Problems Are Even Worse Than You Think

All these issues were evident months ago, but instead of avoiding all the warning signs that would lead us to disaster, we have to watch it all happen in (extra) slow motion every passing week and will only pull the trigger after everything is ruined. Oh and don’t forget all the head burying and gaslighting by half the fans and media that you’re crazy or entitled to see exactly what’s happening.

We genuinely don’t deserve to get a CL place. Our performances have been horrendous where even the good results mostly have been terrible viewing we probably didn’t deserve on the day. We’re genuinely looking worse than a team managed by Amorim for half the season and Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea. Both those teams threw away a massive part of their season, basically gifting any half decent side a CL place and we still look like outsiders somehow. It wouldn’t matter to us now if they were putting in a decent run of form if we had got our act together at any point before March.

We did nothing to correct the course in the market, tactically or moving on a manager who will only continue to drag us down with him.

If we somehow fluke it despite all that, then we’re lucky. And despite comical negligence we’d have avoided a very justified punishment for missing out.

i’m still putting a large amount of blame on the board for not using the january window for its purpose and getting new wingers in.

  3. There’s been 5 games this year that we realistically couldn’t have won or got a result. Three better decisions and we’d be in 3d.

  4. Everyone is focusing on tactics, signings, etc when the issues are a lot more simpler. The issues start and end with Slot.

The squad, team, club take on the personality of the manager. You see that with a lot of clubs. Liverpool under Klopp were a completely different beast. These same mentality monsters, pressing machines are looking limp under Slot. Slot’s passive approach has breaded complacency in this squad. His laid back approach has robbed the squad of the intensity and emotions they thrived playing under.

We start games too slow, we often times don’t look we even want to be playing out there. We look disconnected and a lot of that stuff is what happens and practiced on the training ground. We have no attacking patterns of play.

There seems to be a blind loyalty with some part of the player base with a delusional toxic positivity that’s only making it worse.

Yes we don’t sack managers like other clubs but we’ve had Klopp for a decade. We were literally shit for years before that and scrapping by. We were a laughing stock and in our banter era under Hodgson and Rodgers towards the end.

We’ve gone up levels under Klopp and feels like we’ve fallen back into mediocrity.

I know it’s been a terrible season, however the fact we are 6th and still in the race for top 4 is a miracle.

We will bounce back. Cannot vouch for boring tactics, however our problems are not worse than they seem, they are just bad haha.

I have not watched the video, will watch it now and if I am proved wrong i’ll amend my comment

  6. Depth drastically needs to be addressed this summer we’re sort of trapped in this cycle of being patient in possession as we can’t have these crazy fast games as we don’t have the players to cover for that

  7. It’s wild how Adam Clery can boil this stuff down seemingly effortlessly when our manager can’t.

So we attacked like mad and scored a goal, then went back to Slot ball and sat back.

If we’d pressed on and on, we’d have been the ones to get the winner!
