  1. We spend longer on the ball not doing anything with it, and then when we do lose it we don’t press as intensely or as often as we used to.

    This is such a dumb way of visualising data. Calling it possessions is misleading because it suggests the amount of possession we have is falling, when in actual fact what its showing is how many times we win the ball back per game, which has gone down because the amount we HAVE the ball has increased

    Let’s not use this as a stick to beat him with. We used to press high and turnover possession a lot, now we try to control games. That did win us a league last season.

    I don’t like the man, but this graph without critical thinking is bound to bring out idiots who say “number gone down slot bad” and that’s not a productive or constructive, or even correct, conversation to be having.

    I don’t really want to blame players or call for Slot to be sacked, but simply this season has been as heartbreaking as last season was a wonderful surprise.
