Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall believes Everton have a stadium built for European nights after they boosted their chances of qualifying for Europe against Burnley. The Blues won at Hill Dickinson Stadium for the first time in three months to keep themselves in the hunt for European football against the Clarets.
James Tarkowski set the Blues on their way before Dewsbury-Hall finished a fine team move midway through the second-half. And with his side now firmly in the mix for European football next season, Dewsbury-Hall said: “I feel like I’m getting into a nice rhythm. I am confident, I am feeling the best I have ever felt physically and football-wise.
“I thought tonight we were really good – more like what we want to be at home: dominant and limiting our opponents to not many chances.

“It is a great reaction in the last four of five days to get back-to-back wins after two losses. It shows great character from the lads and puts us in a great position ahead of the run-in.
“Look at the stadium, it is built for European nights. It is a massive club and that is one of the reasons why I wanted to come: to get the club back into the European places.
“I believed with the new project it was possible. We are in a good position and it is about doing the business for the rest of the season.
“Getting into the England squad is a dream of mine. I know the competition is stacked, but I am having a really good season – it is probably the best season I have ever had in the Premier League.

“My main focus is getting into Europe with this team. If we do that, it gives me a better chance internationally.”
Dewsbury-Hall joined the Blues during the summer transfer window and has gone on to become one of his side’s most important players.
And speaking after the win over Scott Parker’s side, Dewsbury-Hall opened up on the private chat he had with David Moyes at the start of the season, which has paid dividends.

“To be honest, he’s given me real confidence to go and express myself,” he said. “He said to me, the minute I came in, ‘I know what you can do, I know your strengths, go and show that’.
“That’s the best thing you can get as a player, when you’ve got a manager who truly believes in you and gives you the opportunity to go and do what you want to do.“He’s been amazing from minute one, he’s helped me so much and I’ve got a lot of respect for him. You can see it’s helped me.”
