      Also we wasted our 3 subs too early due to the injuries of Kounde and Balde, some players were completely gassed and inefficient, especially in the midfield.

      The effort was huge but I really think we could get more from this game.

      I’ve tried supporting Ferran hoping that he will turn around things. But he has been so frustrating to watch. You can see it in his eyes that he has lost all confidence. Flick has no options though at ST. Maybe the Olmo and Rashford experiments might work

      Unpopular opinion, but I disagree. Lewa just looks a step or two off the pace now, a game like yesterday needed a more mobile forward like Ferran imo. The role that suits Lewa nowadays is coming into a game in the last 20-30 min to give a different kind of challenge to opposing defenders. Don’t think his body can take any more than that at this age if we want to keep him fit till the end of the season

      Something is wrong with Ferran. yesterday’s performance was not the Ferran at the start of the season. It’s like he forgot how to be a striker

      I was really worried about Lewandowski not being there, that game was just the worst kinda game Ferran could play in. I think the guy could do decently well vs sides that aren’t just parking the bus and praying to Gods but he’s too small and too weak to really contest with them. Lewy would’ve definitely done better just because he knows how to be a target man.

      I tried to hard for so long to defend Ferran but it’s just completely unforgivable at this point. He can stay as our rotation and 60th minute player. But if we go forward with him as our starting #9 we’re not going to compete at the level we should be.

      Maybe… Ferran was definitely not great, although, he did help out with that 2’d goal by doing a little give and go with Pedri before he was fouled in the box and we got the pen so I count that as a positive play for him, but even so, he definitely did not have an overall great game. The reason I hesitate to say that Lewa would have done much better is because I think any striker would have a very difficult time when facing a 4 4 2 low block, its just simply the purpose of the system, but I do think Ferran atleast needed to put whatever chances he did get on target

      I get it we all despise Ferran especially his abysmal finishing. But Lewa has been horrible this season especially his pressing and link up play which kills are attack. Lewa movement is still elite in the box but that’s about it and he’s missed several easy opportunities too. Next season we definitely need an elite 9 but there’s not many available unfortunately. I’d love Osimhen but wages and attitude are the issue with him.
