Everton’s 3-2 defeat against Newcastle at St James’ Park was typified by Jordan Pickford’s world class save from Sandro Tonali’s shot, but is it the best save in Premier League history?

  1. People always give extra praise to a 'keeper when they save a shot and it goes on to hit the crossbar.

The same thing happens with long-ranged shots that go in off the bar.

It was a good save but the fact Pickford didn't have to move more than an inch means those calling it "The save of the season". "The best save I've ever seen" and "The best save in Premier League history" are going way OTT!

  2. Pretty sure Raya comes up with these saves weekly lol but it is a very good save don’t get me wrong… I think Ramsdale’s a few years back tops this one though?
