Manchester United are closely monitoring Bournemouth midfielder Tyler Adams’ situation following his return from injury, according to the Daily Mail.
The Old Trafford side explored a move for Adams ahead of the winter transfer window, before the US international suffered a serious knee injury in December.
He has since returned to the Bournemouth line-up in recent matches against West Ham, Sunderland and Brentford, and remains of interest to United as they continue their search for a new midfielder this year.
Adams joined Bournemouth in 2023 from Leeds and is under contract at the Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2028.
Man Utd Keen on Tyler Adams

According to the Daily Mail, United will continue to monitor Adams as the season progresses, following his return from a lengthy injury lay-off.
Adams is viewed as a cheaper option than some of United’s other midfield targets, including Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson, Crystal Palace’s Adam Wharton and Brighton’s Carlos Baleba.
Bournemouth are reported to value the ‘incredible’ US international at around £40m and are in a strong negotiating position, with the 27-year-old tied down for another two seasons.
This season, Adams has scored two goals in 18 appearances for the Cherries, who sit ninth in the Premier League with nine games left to play.
Man Utd Set for Midfield Reshuffle?

Manchester United could be heading for a midfield reshuffle after the season, with the club potentially targeting multiple new signings in the area.
While the priority is to replace Casemiro, who is leaving when his contract expires in June, there is also uncertainty surrounding Manuel Ugarte’s future.
The Uruguayan has struggled for regular minutes at Old Trafford and could be on the move once the campaign concludes.
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, several Italian clubs are monitoring Ugarte ahead of the summer, while Turkish giants Galatasaray made checks during the January window.
How Adams Could Boost Man Utd’s Midfield

Amid United’s long-standing interest in Adams, we asked ChatGPT how the US international could strengthen their midfield:
Defensive balance – Offers energy, tactical discipline and ball wins to protect the back line, helping cover forward midfielders and reduce transitional vulnerability.
Ball progression and tempo control – Excellent at moving the ball quickly through midfield and keeping possession under pressure, aiding United’s ability to build play from deeper positions.
Press resistance and versatility – Strong in pressing triggers and recovery runs; can slot into multiple midfield structures (double pivot or as a single No.6), giving tactical flexibility.
