Arsenal visit Brighton & Hove Albion on Wednesday night in the Premier League, in another huge encounter that could have significant ramifications on the outcome of the title race.
The Gunners scraped past Chelsea on Sunday afternoon at the Emirates, narrowly beating Liam Rosenior’s men courtesy of set-piece strikes from William Saliba and Jurrien Timber. Meanwhile, Brighton will be looking to build on the positive momentum they’ve garnered through back-to-back victories over Brentford and Nottingham Forest.
The Seagulls are 12 points above the relegation zone, while they’re just six points off a European place. They may be outsiders in the race for seventh, but Fabian Hurzeler will certainly still have his sights set on achieving this, and thus, his team will be fired up for the visit of the league leaders.
Mikel Arteta should have Declan Rice available after the England international’s injury scare against Chelsea. Elsewhere, David Raya has been passed fit, Ben White is set to miss out, while both Martin Odegaard and Kai Havertz are doubts once again.
As for Brighton, Hurzeler will be without Stefanos Tzimas and Adam Webster, both of whom are out for the season with serious knee injuries. Yasin Ayari faces a late fitness test to determine his availability, as he fights back from a shoulder issue.
The Seasiders’ lack of injury concerns means they should be fit and fresh, although Arsenal should still have too much for them on the south coast.
