The Everton and England goalkeeper’s moment of magic came in stoppage time when he applied a strong hand to Sandro Tonali‘s thunderous volley and pushed the ball onto the crossbar.
After the match at St James’ Park, Pickford declared his incredible last-gasp intervention to be the “best ever save” of his career – for club and country.
