Roberto Martinez, when he was the head coach of Belgium, asked Lukaku to bulk up more to bully defenders in the world cup. United staff were clearly against this plan but Lukaku went ahead and packed more muscle. He became slow and less sharp.
I think he got too big, at a younger age he had the strength as well as the pace to swivel round players and shoot. He’s now too slow.

I feel like united assumed lukaku played like drogba.
When really he was more of a great counter attacker.
Lukaku was played out of position on the right for a while there and always worked hard for the team. Always felt he wasn't respected enough at united.

Lukaku dropped off a bit when he bulked out. He was quite lean, quick and agile at Everton and scored different kind of goals to what he does now

Remember when he was at Everton going back and fourth with Kane for a few season in terms of goals, but also he won no trophies with United, he joined after we won the europa league and from that point forward our next trophy wasn’t until 2023
You have to build your team around Rom to get the best out of him, when he’s the main man and he’s loved he’s unbelievable
Plus he missed around 100 chances while playing for United.

Nope. Lukaku was a great striker at United. Ole was foolish to prefer Rashford and Martial.
My issue with the goal ratio is just think of how many goals he had against West Brom, Palace, etc., but it never happened against Liverpool, City, etc.,
Lukaku didn't win anything during his time at United.
