Unsurprisingly, Pedro Neto was a huge talking point during Liam Rosenior’s post-match press conference following Chelsea’s 2-1 defeat to Arsenal.
Neto was sent off after receiving two yellow cards and will now miss Chelsea’s trip to Aston Villa next week.
Neto undid all of Reece James’ hard work, with the defender putting in an excellent performance at the Emirates. Yet Rosenior has not been too critical with his assessment of the winger.
Who deserves the blame for Liam Rosenior’s first Premier League defeat?

Rosenior thought that Neto was actually quite a threat before his dismissal against Mikel Arteta’s men.
In his post-match press conference, which has been relayed by football.london, the Chelsea manager said: “It’s disappointing for Pedro because he’s a very good player. Up until that moment, he was causing Arsenal so many problems.
“As a group, me as the leader, we want to take more accountability in some of the decision making. Some of the goals we are conceding, they’re not acceptable.”

Neto made a couple of good carries down the right, but other than that, the 25-year-old did not do much else. There are not too many Chelsea fans who are going to agree with Rosenior, especially once they see the actual stats that Neto posted before his dismissal.
For example, according to Sofascore, Neto did not complete a single successful dribble or register one accurate cross.
He was at least able to make two key passes, but Arsenal neutralised him pretty well. Their defence would not have walked away with the feeling that he had caused them a lot of problems on the afternoon.

It will now be interesting to see what Rosenior does for Chelsea’s trip to Villa Park. Neto is now suspended, while Jamie Gittens and Estevao Willian are both out injured.
You would expect Alejandro Garnacho to start, though the Argentina international is not the most popular Chelsea player at the moment.
Some Chelsea fans would be happy to offload Garnacho if it meant signing Yan Diomande despite him only arriving at the club last summer.
If Neto picks up any more silly red cards, you would imagine they would have no issues with him leaving either. Everyone must be getting sick of the level of ill-discipline that he and his teammates are showing this term.
