That entire backline needs reinforcement. We need to cut ties with mount.
We don't need to talk about them. They are proved PL players, yes injuries have come.. but the same can be said about luke shaw. Next season when man utd plays more than one game a week, and any of the midfield or forward line is injured he is versatile enough to connect the play and progress the ball.
Team depth is low, maguire might go, casemiro is leaving. Bigger problems to fix in the team.

I don't think a lot of people understand that when we bought De Ligt from Bayern, he was already struggling with loads of injuries and thats they even gave us Mazraoui for cheap who was also struggling with injuries, he missed 30 games or so for Bayern in 2 seasons. Very bad business from United. Mount has had his chances to play and never stays fit, he must go.
With champions league next season we might as well keep mount
Mount should go to a less physical league. De light has a luke shaw body but can be kept if they can manage his game time and fitness

Why people so reactionary about de ligt injury, players get more long term injuries than this, he will be back stronger than ever at the right time, no need to hurry him. I love both Martinez and deligt, they both are needed in this club, even if they are playing less games, they are instant quality raisers , just get some good cover options for them just like arsenal got mosquera, hincapie, calafiori

They might be great players, but we can’t be having injury prone players if we actually want to compete with the very best.
My opinions on the squad have really changed since Carrick’s come in. It’s been a long time since there has been this level of optimisation of the players available. It shows in how we are picking up results and approaching each game similarly. I don’t think there needs to be a massive upheaval and a few in with a few out would be good.
When I think of areas of the squad for investment, I think that there are other areas I’d prioritise. Obviously CM if Casemiro moves on; which isn’t as certain as it once was. Then LB as starter or one to develop to work with Shaw in the squad.
Re: Mount – I like him. I would want him to stay. But, for his sake, he should move on. I hope he considers going abroad if the right opportunity presents itself. If not, he’d be great for someone like Bournemouth or Brentford if fit.
Re: De Ligt – from a value point of view his stock is as high as ever. We have a pretty embedded CB pair with youth desperate to be starting too. I would move De Ligt on if H stays and the market is there to move him on.
De Ligt is our first choice CB and United’s best CB. So therefore, he must stay at United. As for Mount, he can nicely fcuk off.
