One of the most noticeable changes under Chivu is that we no longer see the overly fluid, slow, drawn-out build-up filled with endless short passes. It may have looked beautiful, but over a full season it drained the players both physically and mentally.

Like in the recent goal against Genoa, Mkhitaryan played a direct long ball to Dimarco, who finished it immediately. Simple and effective.

In the past, we would spend minutes constructing a single attack, switching play from flank to flank, with wingers drifting inside, strikers pulling wide, and full-backs overlapping. The patterns were attractive, but by the end of the season the players were exhausted.

Dimarco che non esce sempre al 60esimo credo sia un altro grande cambiamento
