Manchester United and Michael Carrick can look ahead to their next five Premier League fixtures following the win against Crystal Palace this afternoon. The Eagles took the lead after just four minutes when Maxence Lacroix headed home from a corner, with Oliver Glasner’s side good value heading into the half-time interval.
However, Lacroix went from hero to villain when the Palace defender brought down Matheus Cunha inside the penalty area just before the hour mark and was shown a straight red card. Bruno Fernandes stepped up to convert from the penalty spot to bring United level.
Carrick’s side completed the compeback with Fernandes turning provider for Benjamin Sesko, curling in a brilliant cross for the Slovenian who powered the ball into the back of the net with a brilliant header. United would hold on for the win and continue their unbeaten run under the interim head coach and move up to third on goal difference.
