Match to end in a draw
Brighton ended a run of six Premier League games without a win when they defeated in-form Brentford 2-0, an impressive away victory that eased the pressure on Fabian Hurzeler. The 33-year-old German manager has struggled to settle on his best eleven this season, although he hasn’t been helped by a litany of injuries. The Seagulls have won just one of their last seven home league games, against 19th-placed Burnley.
Nottingham Forest’s season has been one of turmoil and they currently sit 17th, embroiled in a relegation dogfight and two points clear of the drop zone. Nuno Espirito Santo and Sean Dyche have both seen the axe this season, and Vitor Pereira has been tasked with keeping them up. They survived a Fenerbahce second-leg comeback to advance to the last 16 of the Europa League, after impressively winning 3-0 away from home in Pereira’s first game in charge. That was followed by a last-gasp defeat to Liverpool last weekend, and every point is vital for them at this stage of the season.
Neither side is in the best of form, reflected by their respective league positions. The two teams have drawn at the Amex in each of the last two seasons, and we’re predicting that they’ll cancel each other out again, with the match ending in a 1-1 draw.
