Jude Bellingham was supposed to be England’s saviour. Thomas Tuchel saw a warning sign.
When Bellingham melted down and Tuchel called his behaviour “repulsive”, the world called it overreaction. But what if he wasn’t attacking Jude… he was protecting him? And protecting the team from the most dangerous idea in modern football: building everything around one golden boy.
Using England and Real Madrid as case studies, this film shows how over‑centralising around Bellingham created a monster that was never sustainable – and why Tuchel might have been the only one brave enough to say it out loud.
In this AsWatch Tactical Storytelling episode:
The England meltdown that exposed the difference between “fire” and real leadership
How Real Madrid accidentally turned Bellingham into an untouchable superstar
Why Tuchel believes systems win trophies, not starboys
The hidden cost of building a national team around one player
Tuchel wasn’t hating on Jude Bellingham. He was warning us about the structure we built around him.

Jude forgets he is a role model to the global masses. Hope he learns to control his emotions to be a better human being and lead by example. Tuchel suits international management.
My fav player
Tuchel is a sick man and will not win anything with England because he's so confused and scared of those he believes he can't control its not about Jude only
Awesome video
Only messi can be that
Can you make a video about bodo glint now they are so good
12:34 the psg team was built on attack lacking midfield or defence
A team built around Neymar would have a strong midfield n unshakable defence yet psg signings were mainly on superstar attackers which caused imbalance
so gareth sougate was kinda right
This video is flawed i don't agree with it because the only thing that makes it seem like its true is madrids current form and judes debut season. just because Jude played as a10 in a team with no natural 9 in his debut season and excelled doesn't mean he has dropped now simply because he plays deeper and scores less goals in a team with tactical issues and balance problems that have nothing to do with him. madrid struggling has nothing to do with jude. And besides jude was a top midfielder and a star before even signing for madrid he was decisive for dortmund and already a top midfielder… There is no other current english midfield player that is as good as jude. bro is a complete player. with or without the ball. offensively and defensively. even arial duels hes there dribbling hes there creativity and passing not the best but decent , not a de bruyne or a trent. Jude lacks nowhere he can only get better. all round i don't see any other english player as good as him let alone midfield. so yes you shouldn't build a team around single player but Tuchel would be crazy to think he can drop jude when hes fit and win the world cup
Why are you complaining about Jude not stat padding, cause u know how Mbappe dictates a team
and again, have u seen the whole Real Madrid team when Mbappe isn't playing???
with mbappe, even vinicious disappeared…
i hear your points but what difference has benching jude made in the long run ,cause england is still just as bad
7:32 Looking like Van de Ven the hobbit there 😂😂😂😂
His father is white and was a cop. Should tell everything about Jude’s personality and entitlement.
Tuchel will be found out after he loses the World Cup without Jude
When his goal was disallowed, he was wearing blue shorts. When he kicked the water coolerbox, he was wearing white shorts. Those were two different matches, mate.
I think judes an excellent player, but Ive always struggled to take to him as he does seem to be a bit "all about me"
