Ezri Konsa was not happy after the full-time whistle following Aston Villa’s defeat at Wolves.
Ezri Konsa made his feelings clear following Aston Villa’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves making an angry gesture towards the travelling away supporters.
It’s unclear what sparked the England international to head over to the Aston Villa support, but he could be seen angrily gesticulating towards fans and had to be dragged away by his teammates and coaching staff.
It was a disappointing night for Unai Emery’s men, who missed the opportunity to close the gap to Manchester City – giving Manchester United the opportunity to leapfrog them into third place when they take on Crystal Palace on Sunday.
Joao Gomes gave Rob Edwards’ side the lead just after the hour mark, before Rodrigo Gomes added a second deep into second half injury time.
The result gives the Premier League strugglers just their second win of the entire season, moving onto 13 points and bypassing Derby’s record-low Premier League points tally.
Emery’s men put in a disappointing display, which opens the door for their top-four rivals to close the gap to the Villans in the race for Champions League football.
Villa have not won at Molineux since 2020, and their disappointing run continues with Emery heading straight down the tunnel at full-time as Wolves fans celebrated in the stands.
