Other players, decent players that clearly lifted Liverpool, left for better opportunities – Suarez left to play in one of the best starting 11s ever and won everything there, Sterling left to play for a club on the rise and won four league titles, Coutinho left to play for Barca with the intention. All of them left Liverpool that hadn't won a league in 25 years and a CL in 10, a club perhaps on the rise but still struggling to compete. Kane, Haaland, and Bellingham have all done the same recently. Trent left Liverpool at the beginning of a new chapter, with the club having just won the league, and he's going to a club that are Liverpool's continental rivals, that are coming off a trophyless season and he's doing it for the money.
The main problem was the way he left. He should've said from the start, he's gonna leave at the end of the season. Not make us wait right till the end to finally tell us you're leaving.
