Mauge now links back up with Bury, who are managed by former Town midfielder Cole Skuse, having spent time on loan at Ram Meadow last season.

They won promotion to the seventh tier last season and are currently sitting seventh in the table.

He signed his first professional deal at Portman Road last summer, having been at Town since the summer of 2020 after joining from Needham’s youth set-up as an U15.

The versatile attacker is the son of Ronnie, who was also a footballer, playing for the likes of Fulham, Bury, Plymouth Argyle and Bristol Rovers. He also won caps for Trinidad and Tobago at senior level.
