Ipswich v Swansea City – Ipswich to win
Ipswich Town has the second-best home record in the Championship with only one defeat at Portman Road this season, along with 10 wins and five draws. The Tractor Boys head into this game with some confidence, given their solid victory away at Vicarage Road in midweek against Watford.
Swansea City grabbed a late draw against Preston North End in midweek; however, the visitors’ recent away form puts them at a disadvantage. The Jacks have lost four of their last six away matches, and against Ipswich Town, they have lost the last three meetings between the two sides.
Charlton v Wrexham – Wrexham to win
Charlton Athletic failed to pick up a win in midweek against a struggling West Bromwich Albion side, as the Addicks came away with a 1-1 draw at the Hawthorns. The home side is now winless in their last three matches, having drawn 2-2 with Southampton and lost 3-1 at home to Portsmouth.
Wrexham are firmly in the race for a top-six finish in the Championship, as the visitors have a four-point lead in sixth over Southampton with 12 matches to go. The visitors are unbeaten in their last four matches in all competitions, with wins over Ipswich Town (5-3 & 1-0), Portsmouth (2-1), and a draw against Bristol City (2-2).
Lincoln City v Blackpool – Lincoln City to win
Lincoln City are on the trail of league leaders Cardiff City, with the home side only one point behind the Bluebirds. Lincoln City are in tremendous form, with the Imps going unbeaten in their last 15 matches, and the hosts have lost only once at home all season, winning 12.
Blackpool’s form has been relatively mixed under Ian Evatt, as the Tangerines have only won once in their last six league matches. Blackpool have lost three of their last six games with defeats to Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town, and Stockport County.
Exeter City v Bolton – Bolton to win
Exeter City are now winless in their last six matches, following a defeat during this run of games against Rotherham United and four straight draws against Peterborough United (3-3), Wycombe Wanderers (1-1), Northampton Town (0-0), and Mansfield Town (0-0).
Bolton Wanderers are unbeaten in their previous nine matches under Steven Schumacher, with the promotion contenders in third place in League One. Bolton Wanderers have had the advantage over Exeter City in recent meetings, winning the last two.
Rotherham v Plymouth – Plymouth to win
Rotherham United’s defeat away from home against Bradford City means the Millers have now lost their last four straight league matches, which doesn’t bode well for their league position. The home side is one of only two sides this season, along with Port Vale, to record less than a point per game in League One this campaign.
Plymouth Argyle have had an upturn in league form under Tom Cleverley, as the Pilgrims are only six points behind the teams in the top six. Plymouth have scored first in eight of their previous nine matches, and the away side have won their last three league games with wins against Cardiff City (5-2), Leyton Orient (1-3), and Blackpool (0-4).
