The St Mary’s side visit the already-relegated Owls, who sit in administration on minus seven points with just one win in the Championship this season.
That victory came at Portsmouth’s Fratton Park in October, and Henrik Pedersen’s side are on a run of 12 consecutive defeats in all competitions.
Saints, however, are unbeaten in eight, with five wins from their last seven league outings, as they look to close a four-point gap on the league’s top six.
Ahead of the match, Eckert said: “We’re going to put a full team out. We’re looking good. The squad is looking good, and we’ll go as strong as we can.

“I think that’s been one of our strengths over the last weeks, that we attack every single game, and we need to make sure we do the same thing.
“They don’t come off a good spell of results now, but most of the games were very close. I think for the moment they’re in, they’ve been outstanding.
“It must be very tough to be in that situation and just keep going and going, and they do that every single game. Especially in front of a home crowd.
“I’m expecting a tough game tomorrow. It’s going to be a lot of travelling for us with the game coming up tomorrow and then the next three games.
“It’s going to be a tough block that we go into. What we’ve made sure of is that we always have the right amount of rest and training to be fresh.
“It’ll be a big challenge tomorrow and the ones that come up.”
Eckert has been praised by pundits and supporters alike for the turnaround, which has seen Saints climb from 21st to seventh during his tenure.
Saints are among the division’s highest points-scorers since the German took over in November, despite a run of poor results around Christmas.
“I try to learn every single day, head down and keep working,” said Eckert. “We need to keep going. You can ask me how it is at the end of May.
“But for the moment, keep working. It’s nice to get confirmation for the work that we’re doing along the way, but that doesn’t take us anywhere.
“We know how it is, we have to prove ourselves again and again. We need to keep going forward. I think that we are in a good moment right now.
“But you know how quickly things change in football. Now is not the moment to step back and reflect on what’s happening, but to stay on the gas.”
Saints take on Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough at 3pm on Saturday, February 28, in the 35th matchday of the Championship campaign.
