Leeds United decided to make numerous tough calls in the squad after promotion, including an overhaul of the attacking setup.

The Whites can’t have any complaints with how the attack is faring in the Premier League. Reservations over Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin staying fit are justified, but the quality both have shown in front of goal has been incredible.

Out wide, Noah Okafor’s wide role has seen him prove his match-winning quality, while Brenden Aaronson has repaid Daniel Farke’s unwavering faith. It comes after a few previously questionable decisions in the summer with ins and outs.

Largie Ramazani returning to form on loan at Valencia with Goal of the Month prize

One decision I personally took exception was Farke’s flippant disregard for Largie Ramazani’s talents. He was more than good enough to have a bigger role last season than he had, but after being given the cold shoulder, an exit in August was inevitable.

He moved to La Liga side Valencia under Carlos Corberan. In spite of a lightning start with an assist minutes into his debut, he’s struggled for consistency.

That lack of regular output in the bottom half of La Liga might leave Farke feeling vindicated for his brutal treatment of the Belgian. However, there’s signs of life for Ramazani.

Slowly working his way back to fitness after injury, Ramazani has scored two in successive games under Corberan. The first of that pair a stunning volley away to strugglers Levante, which has been named La Liga’s Goal of the Month for February.

Leeds United may not have wasted £10million on Largie Ramazani just yet

At £10million, there was a lot of excitement around Ramazani when he initially joined us from Almeria. Early signs only heightened the hype around him.

However, an ankle injury last season stopped his momentum in its tracks. By the time he was back to contending for a start, he was blocked from a starting berth by Manor Solomon and Dan James hitting peak Championship form.

When he was shipped out on loan to Valencia and finding his momentum again scythed down by an autumn setback, you wondered if we were ever going to see much back for that eight-figure sum.

With this stunning goal, though, we’re given a nice reminder that Ramazani has something to offer at top-flight level. We all knew that anyway, given he blitzed Real Madrid in their own backyard previously. But at Leeds, he’s been forgotten about more or less.

Does one great finish mean he has a future at Leeds? It doesn’t at this stage, but time will tell. He definitely needs to kick on for the rest of this season. Ramazani has to prove he’s someone that can work his way back into plans at Elland Road.

Scoring another cracker is a start, though.
