  1. He instantly becomes our best midfielder and probably top 3 players in the whole squad, how can that not be a good signing. Hes one of many of what we need, if you think we still need a left winger and a more creative midfielder then demand the club make more signings, we shouldn’t have to settle for 1 when we need a lot more. The guy has the right attitude and energy and he’s not injury prone, he can help turn defence into attack and get us up the pitch. Good signing but we need more

  2. We, as spurs fans are delusional, check our progressive passing stats from last year. Maddison was (and always is) one of the highest in the league, players who play in the team currently were being positive and progressive with the ball. It lead to our demise. We need a balance, but to say we don’t have progressive passers in the team is actually ridiculous. Just check the numbers from last season.

This year the system is different and it’s leading to different outcomes – but I don’t actually think it’s down to the players (despite being one of the fans that was super excited about frank coming in).

It’s not so much a personnel problem, but a system problem – we’ve gone too far in the opposite direction; last season we were too progressive/too aggressive, whereas this season we’re too passive.

fans make it seem like pro ball is FIFA or something ffs 🤦🏾‍♂️

  3. Yes, I want bentancour out. Sell him, he is a liability, get some coins in. But knowing the owners even if we get some cash in it will be wasted.

  4. He's homegrown/association trained, which is vital especially with the sale of Johnson. He's 25, has been a success in the Premier League, as player of the season for Palace (where he was played almost as a 10), and was Poch's Captain at Chelsea for over 50 games, where their own fans didn't want him to go. He's box to box and I'd take him over Bentancur every day of the week, and over Gray while he develops…but having Sarr, Gallagher, and Gray to rotate in the 8 is good. What we need is another 6 to back up Palhinha, as Biss needs to be run out of the club…so go get Hjulmand out of Sporting, maybe even Stankovic from Brugge too in the summer.

The calls for Palhinha to be sent back by some of the fan base is absolutely ridiculous! We've been screaming for a proper 6 for years…we get one, and now it's "he doesn't make progressive passes". Do shut up! He's quality, has the best tackling stats in the Prem and is a leader.

Realize that just because we buy one type of player for a specific position…it DOESN'T stop us from buying others for other positions!

  5. Another nonsense video from the young spurs fandem. Lilywhite labs chatting the same. It’s like we don’t like players with bollocks in this fanbase. CG is a player and a character…palinha the same. We’re not playing through balls coz our players aren’t running off the ball… CG as an 8 is a great signing. Adds so much we don’t have and he’ll make xavi, bergvall and gray better. Love sarr but he’s just not good enough yet

  6. Completely agree on Gallagher. He's a good player and offers a lot of the intangibles we're lacking like leadership, commitment, energy, in the middle of the park, etc. However, he's undeniably a weird profile given our needs.

I do think we should definitely be moving on Sarr, though. Again a promising player but Gallagher's simply better and he's gonna struggle for meaningful minutes. Can probably double our money for him if we sell in the summer – we need to be more like Chelsea and move on young players if they aren't top tier and don't have meaningful path to regular minutes. They can't all be stars and I'd much prefer we give Bergvall those minutes as he's the one with the higher ceiling.

  7. Atm we can’t really get the best of the best. He’s a very solid player who brings experience, physicality, desire, and better passing and goal scoring ability than all of our midfielders.

Sure he’s not the deep lying playmaker we need but as a pure Bentancur replacement and midfield depth signing, he’s quality
