Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson has once again been a standout performer during the 2025/26 campaign.
Alongside Declan Rice from Arsenal, the two will be watched closely by the English as Thomas Tuchel nears the selection of his final England squad before the World Cup in the summer.
Anderson has been one of the first names on the team sheet under four different managers at Forest this season, and his brilliance has now come to light using one metric after a 1-0 defeat against Liverpool.

Anderson will link up with Rice at this summer’s World Cup, and in the games they’ve played so far for England, they do perform extremely well together.
However, some statistics have emerged that suggest Anderson is actually doing better than Rice in one metric, with the Forest man winning more ball recoveries this season.
Anderson has managed 232 in the Premier League this season, with Rice currently in second place with 144 recoveries and Joao Gomes in third place with 142.
The Forest man’s ability to win the ball back when out of possession is a special part of his game, and he typically does so in an effortless manner.
Forest need to ask for £100 million for Anderson
Having signed the player for £35 million in the summer of 2024, Forest will want to recoup a substantial amount of profit on the midfielder.
With that in mind, it’s vital that Forest ask for close to £100 million for his signature, with the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal all linked with his services.
Anderson will likely play a pivotal role for England at the World Cup, and in reality, that should also help the Reds squeeze a bit more money out of whichever club is successful in landing him.
Forest have to try and stay up this season, and all that matters right now is managing to finish in 17th place.
Once that has been achieved, Forest can look forward and start to map out a much better campaign next time around in the Premier League.
