Gakpo is too busy on LinkedIn. Footballers donโt really need to be on there and thatโs a red flag to me. Listen I get it sometimes the criticism can get too much , Heโs a human being and abuse shouldnโt be tolerated. Still itโs clear that he canโt be in this team long term. Too slow and clunky. Itโs okay to have higher standards.

He needs to evolve his game beyond cut in and shoot. That being said, he is a rotation option being forced to play every game as a starter.
I think he gets the amount of hate he does because one he is not performing well this season but two, he is just an unattractive footballer. his style of play is just not easy on the eye and repetitive. cuz tbf cut in and shoot doesnโt look great when you are like 190 cm maybe its looks good when youโre 175 or 180. it just feels like heโs a striker being forced to play the wing even though heโs not a striker. just looks out of place
If Rio played as much as Diaz Last season it would benefit him and Gakpo and the team as a whole , Rio gets more game , Gakpo has more competition, the team has competitive Lw options , a lot of this is on slot imo

Thought it was very unfair last season, this season heโs actually been poor and donโt understand how Rio hasnโt got more minutes that arenโt the final 5 when weโre losing and need him to come on and pull a Newcastle away again

He hasnโt been criticised enough one of the worst seasons Iโve watched from a Liverpool player.

One would assume that in a video titled "The Truth About Cody Gakpo," you would at least back up your opinion with statistics, but this just ended up being a subjective video in favor of Gakpo because you like Gakpo.
People hate teacher's pets. Favorites of those in charge regardless of merit. Fairly or unfairly, that's how his starter role feels like to some people.
I personally don't like Gakpo because I've always found him to be selfish as a player, but that's just my personal opinion. Regardless,
– this season he's practically an obstacle for Kerkez on the pitch.
– Especially in the most unsuccessful part of the season, we constantly lost a large number of valuable attacks due to Gakpo's pointless attempts.
– When Chiesa was in form, he didn't get a chance from Slot, unlike Gakpo, who – let's be honest – didn't really deserve to play all the time. You would think that would at least encourage Gakpo to perform better, but it didn't.
– I don't see where Galpo is improving, or if he's improving at all.
– Gakpo's salary is 250k, Szoboszlai's is 120k. OK, it's not Gakpo's fault. But for example, if Szobo makes a mistake in a season when he's otherwise carrying the team on his back and gets criticized for weeks, then I don't see any reason why Gakpo, who regularly underperforms, shouldn't get the criticism he deserves, just like the others. If he doesn't want to get so much criticism, then he should perform better. That's what Kerkez, Konatรฉ, Robbo, etc. are doing now.
Too many times this season, he has behaved like Salah and put his interests ahead of the team's. Selfish play. That's inexcusable. I don't judge him on execution, only intention
I haven't liked Gakpo since i found out how he's a scumbag landlord. He bought houses in poor areas of the Netherlands with huge upside once he renovated them. The thing is he is trying to force the people out to get wealthier tenants in and has those people living in mold with rats. He also hides behind God. I don't its gods plan for him to fleece the less fortunate at every opportunity. I want him gone!
But he is an issue. He stops moves. He stops the football to do a useless cut inside. He mostly ignore Kerkez. He and Mo have mostly been bad this season. We have a winger problem
Heโs facing some valid criticism, but it is becoming genuinely abusive. There is no way this much criticism, week in and week out, helps his form in any way, shape, or form.
I think Slot needs to act quickly. Slot should bench him soon to address his bad form (especially) and shield him from the pressure.
The reason gakpo is getting so much hate is because slot refuses to bench him. He plays every single game and people are frustrated knowing we have more deserving players on the bench. He's not good enough. The worst part is that he's getting paid 250k a week. He's now impossible to sell because no other club is paying a player that bad that kind of wage
gakpo was absolutely terrible against Fulham. I am a match going fan i have my dads season ticket `(he got it 30 years ago) and ive been going to the games for like 10 years now, all the home games the past 3 years. Gakpo was brilliant last season but hes dropped off the face of the earth this season, even earlier on when he was getting g+a he was abysmal. Lets call it as it is. The standards we should set as reigning champions and the standard klopp and slot have set for us (prior to this season) means that the level of performance from the likes of gakpo, macallister and even salah as of late mainly arent good enough. I would absolutely look at bringing in someone who takes his man on in a non robotic way at the end of the season. We missed out on semenyo lets not pass on Bradley barcola or olise
His poor performances are more highlighted cuz of who he replaced. Diaz can have an average game but will still beat players, heโs not a boring, ineffective one skill pony. Gakpo is not a starter for a premier league winning team but good backup
