Raya has great reflexes and he has shown that several times. Sometimes it's a double-save that gets crazy (that is, he saves the ball first time, and if he still senses danger, he saves it again).
However, his problem is that sometimes, he gets carried away when he's too relaxed. Our defenders also do that a lot- they get too comfortable passing the ball around the defense, till someone makes a mistake.
My other issue with Raya is his positioning for free kicks. He leaves so much space that if the shooter aims for the target from a good position, they have 90% chance of scoring. This season alone vs Bruno Fernandes, Dominique Szoboszlai, and others I can remember.
Other than that, I rate Raya very high… The only keeper I rate higher at the moment is Donnarumma- he's the real reason Man City got their confidence back this season, because they were already on a downward trajectory. Signing Donnarumma was a huge boost.
To think we were up in arms over Ramsdale. In all fairness, The Ram was better than Ospina and our other recent netminders
