WhoScored fucking loves Tarkowski because he can win a headed duel.
“Team of the Week” but gets caught out about 20 yards too high for the goal and promptly gets burned by Sesko but that doesn’t come up on the stat sheet.

Hes taken a bit longer this season to get upto speed. Good to see though especially if keane gets dropped for branth.

Braithwaite and O’brien best cb combo rn.. Tarkowski is great for midweek fixtures and extra games but he’s not better than either of them when they are fit.. Imo

WhoScored has Tarkowski as the 12th best player in the Premier League this season (and the best centre back after Gabriel), which says all you need to know about it. The eye test clearly shows he’s been nowhere near as good this season as in previous seasons and would be most people’s preferred option to be dropped instead of Keane.
WhoScored is skewed to favour blocks, clearances and defensive headers. All of which are Tarkowski’s bread and butter, but we can all see that he’s given a teammate a hospital pass in our own half at least once a game this season and been caught out regularly.
