Manchester United secured all three points in the win over Everton with a hard fought away win.
The result keeps up Manchester United’s unbeaten record under Michael Carrick to six games, and takes us three points clear into fourth place.
Let’s check in with our winners and losers from the contest…
Benjamin Sesko’s turnaround has been pretty stunning! Should he start the next game?
Winners
We picked out six winners from the Manchester United side who really stood out…
Benjamin Sesko: Manchester United’s matchwinner came off the bench to prove his worth in his supersub role. It is getting tougher to leave Sesko on the sidelines.
Sesko showed his pace and finishing ability to complete a rapid counter-attack, finishing a move worked up from Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Sesko is averaging a goal every 46 minutes over his last seven games. This compares to 502 minutes during his performances under Ruben Amorim.

Senne Lammens: Goalkeeper Senne Lammens was put under huge pressure from Everton’s defenders at set pieces. He dealt with it all very easily.
It doesn’t bear thinking about what would have happened with Andre Onana or Altay Bayindir in goal in this game.
Lammens made a number of sharp stops and high claims, producing a performance showing how well he has adapted to the Premier League so quickly. This was his first away clean sheet in the Premier League.
Harry Maguire: Centre-back Harry Maguire gave Senne Lammens a helping hand with his protection at set pieces.
The veteran star was a rock at the back, providing leadership and aggression at the moment United needed in from him. He led United with 10 clearances in total.
This was another game that strengthened the case for Maguire to be given a new contract at the end of the season.
What did you think of Harry Maguire’s performance vs Everton? Surely he deserves a new contract?

Leny Yoro: Lisandro Martinez was ruled out shortly before kick-off with a calf injury. Leny Yoro was selected as his replacement, to make his first start in six weeks.
The Frenchman stepped in adeptly, also helping to ensure Lammens had sufficient protection at set pieces, along with Maguire.
Yoro completed 88 per cent of his passes, and after a couple of shaky moments earlier in the season, he looks like he is back to his best.
Bryan Mbeumo: It was Bryan Mbeumo who provided the assist for Benjamin Sesko’s winner, his second assist in as many games. He has three for the season.
Mbeumo has five goal contributions in six games under Michael Carrick. Despite the calls for Sesko to start, Mbeumo is undroppable.
Matheus Cunha: For a lot of the game, Manchester United’s struggles to break Everton down were summed up by Matheus Cunha‘s flat attacking performance.
But he never stopped working defensively, giving everything he could, and he was rewarded by playing a key role in United’s winner.
Cunha’s spirit rubs off on the rest of the squad too. He fought until the final moments to help United close out the win, and this was the kind of drive we needed to see out the result.

Losers
We only have one player for this category after the win over Everton.
Amad: The wait for another goal goes on for Amad, who is still looking for his first of the Michael Carrick era.
Amad came closest in the first half when his goal-bound effort was cleared off the line by James Tarkowski, after Jordan Pickford had slowed it down.
He was the first player substituted by Michael Carrick, taken off in the 58th minute for striker Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko went on to score, with a goal created by Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. Amad could find himself on the bench for the next game.
