Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris insists the scoreline wasn’t a fair reflection of the game after their 3-1 home defeat to Fulham on Sunday.

Raul Jimenez struck twice, with Alex Iwobi also scoring for the visitors. Sunderland‘s goal came from Enzo Le Fee.

Le Bris said: “(It was a game about) key moments. We had the opportunity to score and just after that they scored twice from set-pieces.

“It was a tight game and we didn’t dominate as we wanted.

“The first half was a bit sloppy and slow – and disturbed by injuries. We tried to manage the situation and, until the third goal, we were in the game.

“It is a bit early (to give a full assessment of the injured players),” he continued.

“It is a calf injury for Nordi (Mukiele) and an ankle injury for Jocelin (Ta Bi). We are in a tough league and getting up to the new level is all about quality.

“The main quality at the minute is our togetherness and the way we want to manage our connections.”
