Ancelotti in a latest interview : “Once I took Kroos out and he got angry. The next day I didn’t speak to him. We ran into each other before going out onto the field. I asked him, do we talk about what happened yesterday or is it over? And he said, it’s over.”

Carlo and Kroos are way calmer than Vini and Xabi
Being pissed about getting subbed is totally normal, leaving the pitch in a major game because you are pissed and then issuing an apology to everyone except the coach was and remain the problem.
The issue is as we all watch every game, players just do whatever they like with no regard to any coach because they know they control the club.
Anyone has the full interview ??
Mature players will talk themselves out of it
Are you sure?
Cuz some genius on this sub told me that this is something that was started by vini and no player in real madrid has ever objected to being subbed?
Carlo manage the individual as much as the game. I am afraid Xabi focused exclusively on the game.
Any manager in the world will be unlucky to be the next manager after Ancelotti. Carlo has to be the greatest when it comes to “making friendships” and being close to his players.
It’s like your fav math teacher being replaced with someone else, hard for you to accept the new teacher no matter how good he is.
A big reason why the players couldn’t accept Xabi.
That’s not an “interviewer”. That’s Jorge Valdano
carlo had managed gattuso , i do believe vini would be nothing in comparison.
i think xabi indeed lacked experience in that aspect but i still wonder was it bad enough to get him sacked
Xabi Alonso cultists blown that situation out of proportion.
If a manager can’t handle a player being unhappy at being subbed, they clearly are not a very good manager.
Yes, but Toni Kroos is one of the most intelligent players in the history of the game.
Xabi handled that whole thing like complete shit. This happens at every single high profile club and Alonso clearly showed he wasnt ready. Should have handled it behind closed doors instead of engaging in public feud.
He got eaten alive by Spanish media spurred on by Tebas and played exactly in their hands constantly throwing players under the bus and airing out his dirty laundry in public.
If the manager has to resort to crying to the media to get their lockeroom in order he is never going to succeed. This was a big learning lesson for Xabi and ultimately what got him fired but Xabi stans are not ready for that conversation.
Vini had several managers now and Xabi was the only one that had problems.
Difference is maturity
Professionals bring professional? Wow who would have thought it was possible!!
Vini is a great talent but is incredibly emotionally unstable and that will be his achilles heel. Training on the pitch isn’t going to help weed this out. He needs mentors that understand the type of person he is and how to help him take the next step forward.
We need ice cold blooded players.
Xabi fans and not Madridistas hearing that even Toni Kross had problems with Don Carlo, probably the most calm and approachable manager we ever had.
Imagine when they heard about what Bale did under Zidane…
It’s not even comparable to Vini’s reaction. The guy was literally acting like a child and went straight to the locker room. Everything about that situation was embarrassing, from Vini’s reaction to his awful apology, and even the management not punishing him.
And reading the comments from the Vini FC “Vini worked under several managers and only had a problem with Xabi” might be the dumbest thing I’ve read today. He played under Solari and Zidane when he was still a nobody playing at the biggest club in the world. Under Carlo, he was in his prime and playing 90 minutes every game, no matter how his performance was, so why would he complain? And now with Arbeloa, he’s back to playing 90 minutes every game again lol.
