Jesus, the one for the Camavinga cross is so depressing. Mbappé just stops altogether and then throws his arms up in frustration.
He honestly shouldn’t have played yesterday. He’s not 100% and provided no box presence against a low block. Would have been the perfect match for GG to start at striker. With all the crosses we put in, I feel like he could have scored a brace.

We lost the game not because Osasuna scored but that we have no presence in the box and Valverde proves that with his run into the box.

It kind of seems like Mbappe is that type of player that like to receive the ball open, situate himself somewhere at the top of the box or LW and either see if he can shoot, or run passed a defender with speed. And he’s good at those two things, but he needs to be able to make those runs into the box. And its like someone in the comments said, he isnt reading the game well + he’s not good at (or refuses to try) those other methods of scoring goals. Particularly running into the box. I imagine he’s been asked to do this, over and over. But he just can’t figure it out for one reason or another. Does he not want to run? does he not trust the ball to be crossed in? or does he simply not want to do those things? I dont think we can win anything until he figures that out. But if he does, he’ll be breaking even more records left and right.
