Officers were called shortly after 6pm on Wednesday, February 18, to reports of a crash between Rodfield Lane and Owslebury.
The collision involved a silver Nissan X-Trail and a blue Suzuki motorcycle.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s from Hythe, suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

An investigation is now under way to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision.
Police are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who may have captured relevant dash cam footage of either vehicle in the moments before the crash.
Officers believe such footage could prove vital in helping to piece together what happened.
