Leeds United’s main focus is remaining in the Premier League this season. The Whites are currently winning this battle, with the team six points clear of the drop zone at the time of writing.

However, Daniel Farke’s side are only two games away from a trip to Wembley Stadium. Leeds edged their way into the fifth round of the FA Cup after a penalty shootout win at St Andrews, with Lukas Nmecha’s opener being cancelled out by a late Patrick Roberts equaliser, which led to extra-time and spot kicks.

The FA Cup fifth round draw was pretty kind to Leeds. They have been paired with Norwich City and this clash at Elland Road will mean that last year’s Championship title winners are strong favourites to land a spot in the quarter-final stage of the competition. It will leave supporters considering a potential trip to Wembley Stadium.

Leeds Now 14/1 to win FA Cup After Draw

Crystal Palace were regarded in a similar light last season before the Eagles made their way to Wembley twice and fended off Aston Villa and then Manchester City to lift the FA Cup for the first time in their history.

The bookies make Farke’s men a 14/1 chance to win the FA Cup for the first time since 1972. It was the Yorkshire club’s first-ever success after beating Arsenal in the final, with Allan Clarke’s winning goal coming in the 53rd minute. That Leeds 1-0 victory was played out in front of approximately 100,000 spectators.

Leeds had previously beaten Birmingham City in the semi-finals when enjoying a 3-0 success at Hillsborough, with Jones on target with a brace along with Lorimer getting on the scoresheet. There had been a 2-1 quarter-final success against Tottenham at Elland Road in the quarter-finals.

Leeds Fans Dreaming of Wembley Trip

With the semi-finals of the FA Cup being played at Wembley, it means Leeds can beat Norwich and only be a game away from playing at the national stadium. A big run in the FA Cup would be the icing on the cake of a season which looks like being a success in terms of Premier League survival.
