Ipswich Town have recalled young goalkeeper Woody Williamson from his loan spell at National League south side Eastbourne Borough after third-choice David Button picked up an injury.
The 19-year-old joined the Sports on loan in December, making 13 appearances for the sixth-tier side, who this week decided to part company with manager Tommy Widdrington.

We understand Button, the Blues’ regular third matchday keeper, has picked up an minor injury, so Williamson now returns to Portman Road to act as third choice senior goalkeeper.
Recent January addition Nicholas Bilokapic, 23, wasn’t included in Town’s registered senior squad, despite there being a space available, and will continue to play for John McGreal’s high-flying U21s.

Williamson doesn’t have to be registered due to his age. Henry Gray, 20, remains on loan at League Two club Harrogate Town.
Williamson joined the Blues as a schoolboy in 2020, before signing his first professional deal at the club in 2023.
The shot stopper has previously had loan stints at Chelmsford City and Cheshunt.
