    What was your first LFC kit?


    I’ve been a supporter since I was 5 in 1989 but owing to the expense of kits I didn’t get my first until 1995/96 (?)

    Here’s a photo of me looking an absolute belter in my first- the ecru kit from this season is my all time fave though. Love those beermat sized club crests

      That’s a 96/97 home shirt – the 95/96 one was Adidas and the badge changed. Same as my first one.

      Got a knock off kit when I was 4, got first proper one in 2001, my auld lad was dead against me wearing a jersey with “Carlsberg” on it, but relented eventually.

      1960s round neck with just a sewn on Liverbird logo. I was born in 1972, so it was a hand me down by the time I wore it to play togger in in the back garden.

      First proper one I got as a kid was the classic Sammy Lee 1983 yellow away, full kit from probably Jack Sharps downtown, or Pride and Joy in Huyton. The shorts were pure murder!

      98/99 Michael Owen jersey that my dad brought back from a business trip to England. Watched Owen in the 98 WC and became an instant fan and thankfully that led me to Liverpool

      I don’t have a photo but my mum got me a knock off kit from the market. It has a football for the badge and Liverpool written across the front with Owen 10 on the back.

      I couldn’t have been more grateful and it still stays in my collection today

      Mine was the year before yours, the home kit last of Adidas – annoyingly I would have preferred the away kit as I bloody love that green and white quartered shirt. It was not comfortable to wear, it had that weird not collar that felt tight and uncomfortable to wear.

      That bland late 90’s Reebok ringer kit; just plain red with white cuffs. Gifted to me then and I’ve still got it somewhere it must be tiiiiiiight now even with the baggy 90’s cut 😂
