Jurgen Klopp has turned down a shock offer from Man United to become their next manager after leaving Liverpool in 2024.
This comes after the former Anfield boss’ agent revealed he had been approached by both Man United and Chelsea, although the timeline of those approaches is unclear.
Both clubs have since denied those claims, insisting no approaches were made, while he is also believed to have been offered the England manager’s job.
As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Transfer Insider podcast, Klopp has no plan to return to the Premier League with anybody other than Liverpool.
Any suggestions that Man United could even be a possibility have been quickly laughed off, while they remain in search of Ruben Amorim’s permanent successor.

Football Insider revealed in October that Klopp is unlikely to return to management any time soon, even with the possibility of the Liverpool job coming up.

Suggestions that he could even be an option for Man United or Chelsea have been quickly dismissed and he is not currently considering his future.
While Chelsea have since moved ahead with landing Liam Rosenior, and doubts remain about the timeline of these approaches, United will have to look elsewhere.
Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, I explained: “Yeah, absolutely no chance this would happen.
“Obviously the news came a bit left field really that Jurgen Klopp’s agent claimed that Manchester United and Chelsea had both made inquiries for Klopp after he left Liverpool.
“We don’t know the exact timescale of it. It might have been a year or more ago that they actually inquired about Klopp, or whether they did or not.
“Both clubs quickly came out and denied that was the case.
“Look, it isn’t going to happen. Jurgen Klopp isn’t going to return to the Premier League to any other club apart from Liverpool.
“He was quite adamant about that when he announced his departure from Anfield, and I don’t think it would sit well with Liverpool fans to see Klopp managing anybody else.
“His relationship is so strong with the Liverpool fans that he wouldn’t dare do that.”
Which clubs could tempt Klopp to return to management?
Despite Klopp’s insistence that he would not return to the Premier League to manage any club other than Liverpool, he continues to be linked with other roles.
Football Insider revealed last month that Real Madrid could tempt Klopp to take over as he remains a leading candidate following Xabi Alonso’s departure.
The Spanish giants have been keen on the German for a long time and could now make a move to tempt him to return to the stresses and strains of club football.

Klopp is believed to be happy away from management and in his current role as Red Bull’s Head of Global Football, and it would be hard to prise him away.
However, should the right offer arrive, he could be convinced to make a return to the dugout, although a move abroad is more likely than the Premier League.
