The crunch months of the season is still ahead of us but let's be honest, with our expert management of these past few years, this, too, is ultimately another season of consruction.

At least this year a solid foundation in terms of manager has crystallized, and in Luciano Spalletti we have something to build on. Coupled with Yildiz devoting his future to us, we now have two pillars of a proper Juventus foundation in place.

As for the other pillars, perhaps we could create posts where we talk about options per section of the squad, starting with goalkeeper. I think we all hoped Di Gregorio could be it despite initial doubts sizewise, but these past two years has underlined how important both the tangibles and the intangibles are in a team of Juventus stature. Aura is a real thing.

So when size is already not on your side, and focus seeming fluctuating, plus supsect general choices of limb usage per save, AND lacking the presence to comfort the defense (and fans), perhaps it's time to look around for a new goalkeeper.

Call me old school, but I believe the national team goalie should be our goalie. With Donnarumma missed out on twice and that ship sailed, who should we go for?

– Starting goalkeeper:

Option 1: Carnesecchi

Option 2: Caprile

Option 3: Vicario

(probably unrealistic due to premier league money games, unless he pushes for Juve)

– Second goalkeeper:

Di Gregorio or Perin, preferably DIGre, to save well-needed funds for other operations, granted either wants to stay and be okay with the backup role. If not, we're gonna need a new Rampulla. A beautiful Chimenti. A perfect Storari.

Perhaps that guys is Audero, as I like his character, his skills, and his checking some of those homegrown player boxes for registration purposes.

– Third goalkeeper: Pinsoglio

– One for the future: Daffara
But does he have what it takes to be a future first choice of Juventus magnitude. Our trusted last stand? Or is he a Leali. That still remains to be seen. And nothing bad on the Lealis or Auderos – they could be important as a second or third GK at some point.

What do you think?
