Liverpool winger Harry Wilson has left the club’s Austria pre-season camp to finalise a £12m move to Fulham.

The winger was omitted from the squad for the 1-0 win over Mainz on Friday night ahead of completing the switch to Craven Cottage.

The £12m fee will take Liverpool’s total for incomings over £30m this summer following the departures of Marko Grujic, Taiwo Awoniyi, Liam Millar and Kamil Grabara.

Guy Clarke reports ahead of Wilson’s move following three successive loan spells away from Anfield.

  1. Great news. Good luck to Wilson. Hope he does great and has a good career elsewhere. He needs to play regular. Good young talent should not waste not playing first team regular settled. Origi needs to learn!

  2. This is crazy. He's going for only 12m. The guy scored a decent about of goals for Bournemouth in the Prem and for Cardiff. We should be getting at least £40 million.
Is Ben White worth 4 times the value of Wilson. Grealish is good but he's valued at close to 9 times the value of Wilson.

  3. It always impresses me how much money Liverpool get, from players that aren't really good enough for their first team squad…. Solanke – Kent – Brewster – Wilson – etc, etc…

  4. There was quite a long period I thought he could develop a bit more and become a different option at first team level. Sadly not to be, but wish his career all the best. YNWA Harry

  5. I can't lie to myself that there's anything positive about the strategy the club shows recently. The club selling promising youth products for cheap price is disgraceful, should have put them in first team for back up for a season, see if they can evolve as their market value will be skyrocketed because they're playing in first division, then next step the club could sell them and they've got their chance to prove themselves, that way would be much more beneficial to either of the players and the club, and the young player who's being sold could get a better contract as well.
Ultimately the club still need to reorganise it's academy and let it actually works for first team seamlessly, not having 90% of the youngsters being released and 5% being sold for profit.

  6. Lol he was going for £20m last year & Liverpool where high balling buying clubs, deserve the low fees we are getting now, guric was the same last season we could have sold him for £20m, but where asking close to £25m

  7. I do not understand Liverpool leaders. When Wilson played in Bournemouth, he received 75 minutes opportunity in an average. Eddie Howie all the time commanded he to back, when Wilson scored from a free kick a goal, was not glad but he was furious rather.

Wilson played as right defensive midfielder practically in a half season, indeed played a right back also, if he went to forward Howie roared him. Even he scored goals so in that year, while Liverpool midfielders:
    Keita 2 goals,
    Milner 4 goals,
    Jones 1 goal,

Oxlade 4 goals and Henderson 4 goals.
And I repeat: I did not understand Liverpool leaders.
I wish very much successes to Wilson!
