Nathan Patterson has been strongly linked with an Everton exit in recent months.
It looked highly likely that the Scot would depart the Hill Dickinson Stadium in January after just six Premier League appearances.
Only three of those have come as starts, with the full-back watching recent clashes against Fulham and Bournemouth from the bench.
David Moyes didn’t call on the 24-year-old when Jake O’Brien was sent off against the latter, summing up his place in the squad right now.
It appears that Patterson’s future is hanging in the balance, and now, Goodison News rounds up everything we know about his current contract situation.
What is Nathan Patterson’s current contract situation at Everton?
It came as a surprise when the former Rangers youngster didn’t depart Merseyside in the winter, but he will now stick around until the summer at least.
That could give the defender plenty of time to seek out an exit route away from L4, although his current deal won’t help if he does want to leave.
Patterson signed for the Toffees in January 2022, but agreed a five-and-a-half-year deal after his £12million move from Ibrox was complete.

That will keep Everton’s number two in L4 until June 2027 on a reported weekly wage of £28,000, a contract agreed by Rafa Benitez over four years ago.
Those terms to pay the Scot £1.45m per year may raise eyebrows now and may also hamper the full-back in his hopes of moving away from Merseyside any time soon.
Patterson has attracted transfer interest from abroad
It looked as if the Toffees were willing to let Patterson depart on loan in January, but a deal never materialised.
There were suggestions that a return to Rangers could make sense for all parties, although there were no concrete links with an Ibrox move.
The 24-year-old was previously linked with a move to Sevilla, while Italian sides Lazio and Bologna also were said to be tracking him in L4.
A move could be on the cards in the summer as the Everton man will only have a year remaining on his deal, something which could spark a potential cut-price exit.
There is no guarantee of that, and his future will ultimately be down to whether Moyes wants to let him go before his contract ends.
