Former Birmingham City boss Gary Rowett looks set to fill the managerial vacancy at Leicester City.
The Foxes were deducted six points two weeks ago and they currently sit in the Championship relegation zone having been expected to be among the leading contenders for promotion at the outset.
They have lost six of their last seven games in all competitions and have been defeated four times since parting ways with manager Marti Cifuentes.

Rowett has been linked with the vacancy since Cifuentes departed in January and multiple reports suggest Leicester are in talks to appoint the 51-year-old on a deal until the end of the season.
Rowett – who led Blues to successive 10th-placed finishes between 2014 and 2016 – left Oxford United in December and has a history of keeping teams afloat in the Championship, which is no doubt what has appealed to Leicester.
The only relegation on Rowett’s CV came at Blues in 2024, albeit the damage was done long before Rowett stepped in for the final eight games.
Leicester are currently one point behind 21st-placed Portsmouth having played two games more.
Ten Championship clubs have changed managers since the start of the season. Blues boss Chris Davies has been in charge for 20 months and is the fifth longest serving manager in the league.
