If I were Micheal Carrick, I would give De ligt the entire rest of the season off. Back injuries normally take long time to fix, and they can hinder careers if they are rushed or mistreated.
We need him fully fit for next season.

I'd definitely shelve him for the rest of the season, barring emergencies. Licha and Harry are doing quite well and we only have one game a week. If/when either needs to be replaced, we have both Yoro and Heaven.

We need De Ligt much more next season. Better he's fully healed and ready for a busier campaign than bringing him back and suffering a repeat.

March is make or break for Carrick . If he continues the way he’s going with those tough fixtures I’d say he has a good chance of the job but he loses 2/3 games the first 5 won’t be long forgotten about .
I’ve faith tho , I’m thinking 7/8 points .
