Manchester United and Ivory Coast winger Amad Diallo has shared his spine-tingling reaction to what he hears and sees from fans at Old Trafford ahead of matches.
Amad Diallo has become a fan favourite with Manchester United supporters and has established himself as a key first-team player at the Premier League club.
Does Amad need to produce more for Manchester United?

The 23-year-old Ivorian forward has netted twice and registered three assists in 21 matches across all competitions in the 2025-26 campaign at Old Trafford.
Amad predominantly played the first half of the current season in the right wing-back role under former Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim.
However, Ruben Amorim’s sacking as Man Utd manager and the arrival of Michael Carrick have seen Amad restored to his preferred right winger position.

Amad Diallo also missed six matches across all competitions this season due to the Manchester United ace representing the Ivory Coast at the 2025 AFCON competition.
The Ivory Coast international was away on international duty in the tail end of 2025 and the early part of 2026 before returning after Ruben Amorim was axed from United.

Amad opened up about his admiration of United fans putting their own spin on John Denver’s ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ track, which is sung ahead of kick-off.
Speaking to Manchester United’s official magazine, he said: “I love the song at Old Trafford where everyone sings together too: ‘Take me home, United Road, to the place I belong, to Old Trafford, to see United, take me home United Road…’
“Every time when they put that song on, I sing it in my head. Even in the dressing room, we play that song sometimes before we go to the pitch, to remember: ‘Wow, we are playing for Manchester United.’ It gives us energy.”

Amad insisted that Red Devils supporters’ rendition of John Denver’s 1971 classic track pumps him up to the point where he knows the importance of delivering a result at Old Trafford.
“You see the fans singing the song and you think: ‘Today is the day, we have to win for them,’” he added, as per Manchester United’s official website.
“Then when you start playing, you are so relaxed, because [you know] the fans are there to help you.”
United are currently fourth in the Premier League table under interim boss Michael Carrick and the Red Devils will return to action against Everton on 23rd February.
