This will probably get lost in the shuffle because of all the comments about how wonderful this man is and what he means to not only Football around the world but of course in Germany but the impact he has had in his brief time with my home club in Vancouver has been simply put, amazing. I still cant believe he is on our team. For years in MLS we (the Whitecaps) have felt like a "little brother club" that gets little to no recognition or respect around the league. We'd never get "Grade A" big name talent that come from over seas because of different factors (turf field, lousy travel schedule, obscurity, tighter player budgets) so it was generally shocking when i first heard Muller was interested in signing with us.
He has been such a breath of fresh air and an injection of youthfullness to our club. In a sporting world full of cliche answers and corporate PR trained atheletes its been great to see him interact with not only the media covering the team but the fans around the team as well. Football is better for having this man as a representative of this great game!
What an utterly likeable chap.

Müller is just one of the few Bayern players who are loved by most German football fans. Usually unless you're a Bayern fan yourself you absolutely detest everything associated with the club since they have been the most dominant and some might see the most arrogant club in Germany for decades. It almost never happens that a Bayern player gets this much love although they are usually the most prominent players in the German national team.
Brazil wat NOT the favorites going into the semi are you mad? Germany was playing really well and Brazil got carried by the ref in group stage games and barely made it there.
