Mohamed Salah has reportedly received a major financial boost this past year as uncertainty around his Liverpool future continues. Salah was on the scoresheet for the Reds on Saturday night in their FA Cup win over Brighton, but his future remains up in the air amid constant speculation around his next move.

Salah found the back of the net from the penalty spot as Liverpool claimed a 3-0 win in the fourth-round tie at Anfield on Saturday evening.

The Egyptian now has seven goals to his name across all competitions, and will be determined to add to his tally when Liverpool return to Premier League action next weekend against Nottingham Forest.

With Salah proving to be a key player once again for Liverpool following his return from the Africa Cup of Nations, the 33-year-old has reportedly been handed a major financial boost over the last year.

A report in The Times has claimed that Salah’s total assets increased to £45million for the financial year up to June 30, 2025.

This, according to the report, is an increase of £6.2million from the previous year. The Liverpool star’s company, Salah UK Commercial Ltd, confirmed the update in the latest round of accounts.

Salah’s income from his image and commercial rights is reported to be managed by the aforementioned company, but it is not said to include the wages he receives from Liverpool.

It was in April last year that Salah signed a new two-year contract extension to commit his future at Liverpool until the summer of 2027.

The January transfer window saw intense speculation that Salah could leave Liverpool before the deadline, with the Saudi Pro League frequently mentioned as a potential destination.

Salah now has 18 months left on his current deal at Liverpool, and the speculation about his future is now centred around rumours that an exit in the summer could be on the cards.

After scoring against Brighton, Salah was praised by Arne Slot, with the Liverpool head coach making a claim about the future.

“It is very nice to have him on the scoresheet again but what I like the most is he is scoring goals you can almost expect, but he also helps the team a lot defensively and that is something very positive,” Slot said.

“What the team also needs and is much more capable of playing every three days at an intensity level and that is where we struggled at the start of the season and we see more and more the quality we have, so the future looks really bright and the recent seven, eight, nine and 10 games are showing that.”
